Description

Cisco IP Telephony & Video, Part 1 (CIPTV1) v1.0 is a training course that prepares the learner for implementing a Cisco Collaboration solution at a single-site environment. This course focuses primarily on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Version 10.x, which is the call-routing and signaling component for the Cisco Collaboration solution Lab exercises included in the course help learners to perform post installation tasks, configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager, implement MGCP and H.323 and, SIP trunks, and build dial plans to place single site on-cluster and off-cluster calling for voice and video. Learners will also implement media resources, audio and video conferencing, and describe QoS.

300-070 CIPTV1 is one of four exams leading to the CCNP Collaboration certification.

Objectifs

- Configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
- Implement gateways and Cisco Unified Border Element.
- Build dial plans for on-net and off-net voice and video calls using traditional numbered dial plans and Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs).
- Implement media resources, including voice and video conferences.
- Describe how quality of service ensures that the network provides the required quality to voice and video calls.

Prérequis

ICND1, CICD and CIVND knowledge is highly recommended including:
- Working knowledge of fundamental terms and concepts of computer networking, including LANs, WANs, switching and routing.
- Ability to configure and operate Cisco routers and switches and to enable VLANs and DHCP.
- Basics of digital interfaces, PSTN, and VoIP.
- Fundamental knowledge of converged voice and data networks.

Yacine Med is a Telecom Engineer graduated from the National Institut of Telecommunications & ICT, he hold both the Master's & Engineer's Degrees in Telecommunications systems.

He started his career in the Transmission field as a Transmission engineer in one of the largest Telecom company in Algeria where he aquired a deep experience in PDH, SDH, WDM and IP fields, then he moved into the Voice World as an Operations & Maintenance engineer dealing with TDM & VoIP Core networks as well as Optical & Wireless access networks, focusing mainly on the Technical Support, Supervision and Maintenance.
On 2013 he became the Head of the O&M for the western Region networks and also the System Manager of the OSS plateforms managing UNIX & Win2k Servers as well as the IP Infrastructure Network of the OSS.


Yacine hold many IT certifications from leading vendors such as Cisco and Juniper and has provided many trainings in the Cisco Voice field.
